Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Hubbell Incorporated engages in the design, manufacture, and sale of electrical and electronic products in the United States and internationally. It operates in three segments: Electrical, Power, and Industrial Technology.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Perform and document product audits to determine compliance with drawings, specifications, process procedures, and routings.
  2. Calibrate and repair dimensional gauges and various electronic devices and welders.
  3. Must be able to utilize gauge management software system.
  4. Use metrology equipment such as micrometers, calipers, surface plate, height gauges, fillet weld gauges, and other advanced measurement techniques in the assessment of material and product quality.
  5. Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and routings.
  6. Must be able to write and communicate effectively in formal reports.
  7. Must be familiar with creating purchase requisitions.

Skills and Experience

  • Physical strength to safely lift 15-20 pounds on a regular basis, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to safely move and walk through production, storage, and shipping areas.
