Position Overview
A successful incumbent is expected to enforce safety standards, policies, practices, visual aids, and procedures within your area of responsibility to ensure safety remains top priority of team and key contributor to the systemic identification of root cause of process deviations to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
Enforce safety standards, policies, practices, visual aids, and procedures within your area of responsibility to ensure safety remains top priority of team
Motivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging, and retaining team members by creating workplace culture which aligns with Hubbell values.
Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring, and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company's policies
Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communications.
Establish multiple day production plan to meet customer demand while ensuring employee moral and managing costs
Create and implement improvement initiatives in your area of responsibility in order to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost
Create revisions to standard operating procedures and standardized work based on improvements and changes in the business
Ensure company equipment is utilized and functioning properly to reduce safety risks
Establish weekly training plan across multiple functional areas to ensure cross training to meet customer demand
Recommend monthly changes to safety standards, policies, and practices to ensure highest level of quality and safety
Skills and Experience
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in supervisor roles
Minimum of 10 years of distribution and/or manufacturing experience
Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Detail oriented approach
Preferred Skills:
SAP EWM Experience
Warehouse Management System
Automated distribution center experience
