Job Overview

Effectively lead a small HR team at our Switching & Fusing business unit with full cycle recruitment, benefits, employee relations, and training functions. This position is essential in supporting the business by collaborating with the management team to staff the organization with qualified candidates, reduce turnover, improve organizational effectiveness, and resolve both strategic and day-to-day people issues.

A Day In The Life

  • Effectively lead and manage the HR function
  • Responsible for interpreting and ensuring compliance with all policies, company processes, union contract, and state/federal employment law
  • Positively influence the leadership team on HR initiatives and effectively communicate with all levels of employees
  • Provide leadership in all areas of the HR function:
    • Performance Management
    • Compensation and Benefits administration
    • Recruiting/Onboarding
    • Engagement & Positive Employee Relations
    • Communications
    • Leave of Absence

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree required. MS or MBA is a plus
  • 5 -7 years of HR leadership experience in a manufacturing role
  • Union experience a plus
  • Strong computer experience required, Microsoft Suite, SAP-SuccessFactors and or ADP experience a plus
  • Influential leader and strategic problem solver
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification a plus
