Maintenance Crafts
Job Overview
Contribute toward the efficient operation plant wide, by performing various tasks for the departments, utilizing a good knowledge of maintenance, electrical, and building knowledge, while complying with current ISO requirements, all safety requirements, and good housekeeping standards.
A Day In The Life
- Conduct routine inspections of premise and equipment
- Preform preventive maintenance on building and equipment per the maintenance Management System
- Initiate material request for parts
- Oversee contractors when repair require service from outside vendors
- Preform other duties as directed by supervisor
What will help you thrive in this role?
Experience two to four years related experience and/or training or combination of education and experience in these maintenance areas: mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulics pneumatics, building infrastructure ( compressed air, boilers and heating, water, fire system)
- Education and/or experience – High school diploma or GED preferred. Employee must be able to perform basic reading, writing and mathematical functions. Computer knowledge and keyboard skills a plus. Electrical experience required. PLC Experience preferred.
- Language Skills – Ability to read and write. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memorandums and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing.
- Mathematical Skills – Basic mathematical skills are required. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Reasoning Ability – Ability to understand and carry out detailed written and oral instructions. Problem solving abilities and root cause analysis essential for success.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registration – Must possess (acquire through training) and maintain fork lift operator certification.
- Physical Requirements – The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
