Job Overview
The Supply Chain Buyer/Planner is responsible for planning functions related to in-house and contract manufacturer operations. They work closely with various stakeholders to keep order processing aligned with promised customer delivery dates and shipping commitments.
This position is a Hybrid role - preference for the following Hubbell locations

A Day In The Life
Essential Functions: Internal Manufacturing
- Review incoming sales orders and acknowledge them with ship dates based on production capacity.
- Timely communications with Orders and Revenue Management team on expedite requests and existing production commitments.
- Review stock availability of component materials ensuring no shortages exist prior to releasing upcoming work orders for production.
- Coordinate with warehouse associates to stage materials for production.
- Audit work orders when complete, report any issues.
- Manage cycle counts with warehouse team and resolve any count issues. Report any unresolved issues to manager.
Essential Functions: Contract Manufacturing
- Review open sales orders and forecasted demand signals for designated product families.
- Release sales orders for production and commit ship dates based on supply review.
- Create and maintain contract manufacturer and supplier purchase orders.
- Review supplier acknowledged ship dates against customer requirements.
- Review and manage levels of finished goods stock and consigned inventory at suppliers.
- Primary contact with suppliers for demand and requirements fulfillment.
- Drive cross functional support for contract manufacturer builds from production through delivery.
- Process delivery transactions against allocated customer sales orders.
- Manage weekly/monthly report generation including performance metrics and analysis.

- High School Diploma with 5+ years’ experience planning in a manufacturing environment, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- Manage multiple priorities while adhering to deadlines.
- Solid computer skills; MS Office understanding and application.
- Basic understanding of inventory and documentation management systems.
- SAP Planning experience in manufacturing environment.
- Ability to analyze data and make decisions.
