The Group Head of Data Management Solutions is responsible for defining and driving the implementation of Group-wide standards, controls and operating model for core Data Management capabilities.
What you’ll be doing…
- Leading the team responsible for Group-wide standards and capabilities for Data Modelling, Metadata Management, Data Quality, Reference and Master Data
- Leading the definition of strategy, frameworks, standards and patterns for Data Management including Data Modelling, Data Quality, Metadata, Reference and Master Data
- Defining strategic objectives and managing a portfolio of initiatives that contribute to the delivery of the Groups Data Strategy
- Driving the implementation of a transformational operating model for key Data Management capabilities
- Leading on thought leadership for automated Data Management tooling and driving collaboration with Technology and Architecture partners to implement tooling
- Leading interaction with Enterprise Data Management Services lab to ensure development and prioritisation of tooling aligns to strategy and prioritised requirements
- Partnering with and supporting Data Management heads and Divisional Data Officers to meet business and strategic objectives
- Influencing senior internal stakeholders and building external relationships with key partners to support the Group’s Data Management ambitions
- Developing strategies to bring innovative new thinking, technologies and approaches to address Group-wide Data Management challenges
- Contributing to the execution of the Group-wide Data Management Transformation and broader Data Transformation
We're looking for someone with a...
- Proven track record leading the establishment of enterprise level capabilities for Metadata, Data Quality, Master/Reference Data and Data Model management
- End to end experience from setting strategy, securing investment, managing design and technology decisions, through to overseeing implementation and embedding
- Experience of building and line managing chapters of subject matter experts, developing talent and advancing team members towards their career objectives
- Demonstrated programme management and group wide co-ordination experience
- Strong understanding of how data is used in the business with foresight to identify and mitigate data risks
- Knowledge of technology vendors to help select partners to help deliver our strategy
- Previous experience with Data Management Automation Technology
- Proven experience influencing senior stakeholders and course correcting initiatives towards strategic outcomes
- Passion for technology and exploring new approaches to address data management challenges and opportunities
- Experience of managing BAU and investment budgets
Ideally, you'll have...
- Strong organisational awareness of the Group’s business and operating models
- Strong understanding of how data can support customers and delivery of the Group’s business objectives
- Comprehensive track record of delivery, particularly in change delivery roles
- Ability to build strong working relationships with and influence senior leaders across the Group to implement change
- Proven decision making skills demonstrating sound judgement
- Proven ability to establish comprehensive programme controls to ensure all activities are delivered and all financial benefits realised.
- Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to effectively communicate ideas, proposals, issues and implications.
- Emotional resilience in difficult situations and able to drive collaboration and alignment in an environment of multiple priorities.
- Ability to make complex technological concepts simple to senior audiences
