How can you Unearth the Possibilities with Nufarm?

We’re looking to engage a proactive and customer centric Customer Care Specialist for Nufarm in Alsip, IL. You will be responsible for delivering value-added services to customers in the U.S. market by providing timely, courteous, and professional responses to inquiries related to products, services, and account information. Processes customer orders received via phone, email, and EDI, ensuring accurate data entry through to shipment and invoicing. Resolves customer concerns by applying established procedures and sound business judgment. Acts as a key liaison between customers and internal U.S. teams, including Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Warehousing & Logistics, IT, and Quality.

What will you be doing?

  • Enters and manages customer orders in Oracle, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Responds to incoming calls and inquiries from customers and internal Nufarm personnel.
  • Communicates order and delivery confirmations, as well as updates on any changes.
  • Collaborates closely with Account Managers and cross-functional teams to fulfill customer needs.
  • Oversees inventory allocations and manages the order and backorder process based on product availability.
  • Coordinates order fulfillment by working with Customers, Demand Planning, Sales, Warehousing & Logistics, Finance, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Liaises with external warehouses and tolling partners to ensure timely and accurate shipment of orders.
  • Manages customer complaints and escalates issues to appropriate personnel for resolution.
  • Handles Salesforce case management for customer service activities.
  • Processes product returns, credit/debit memos, and resolves mis-shipments.
  • Provides product knowledge, support, and guidance to both internal teams and external customers.
  • Facilitates the invoicing process, including assembling and distributing necessary documentation to customers.
  • Creates and reviews reports to monitor performance and identify improvement areas.
  • Participates in ongoing training and seminars to deepen knowledge of Nufarm’s portfolio, internal systems, and professional development.
  • Supports system data maintenance and updates as directed by management.
  • Contributes to the development and documentation of customer service processes and best practices.
  • Offers support and mentorship to Customer Service team members.
  • Participates in project management initiatives as assigned.
  • May travel to attend and support sales meetings.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management.

What do you bring?

You’re an excellent communicator who is proactive and adapts easily who brings at least 1-5 years prior experience in Customer Service in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will hold a college degree. You’re comfortable challenging existing processes and help to create new ones. You’re well versed in business ERP applications and you have strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills. Most importantly, you are customer focused, organized, and able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities effectively.

What do we offer?

Our compensation structure is designed to reflect the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The base salary for this position ranges from $51,500 per year in our lowest geographic market to $63,000 per year in our highest geographic market. Compensation is determined by several factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

At Nufarm, we believe in total compensation. Depending on the position, additional forms of compensation may be included as part of a comprehensive package, alongside a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
