How can you grow with Nufarm?
Based in Alsip, IL, Nufarm is looking for a dynamic and energetic Network Logistics Manager who will serve as the continuous improvement agent for logistics with a primary focus on managing the tactical and strategic improvement of the logistics network to reduce our logistics expenses while still providing the service level required by our customers within the Nufarm North American Region (US & Canada). He/she is responsible for the design, optimization, and continuous revision and adjustment of the Nufarm NA logistics network to ensure cost-efficient, resilient, flexible, and scalable product flows. The role bridges strategy and execution at the point where translation of the service requirements into an optimized network of warehouses, business rules, transport modes, and logistics partners is needed.
What will you be doing?
Logistics Network Improvement (Cash, NwC)
- Propose and implement the optimum logistics network design by working with commercial/sales, marketing, and finance teams, developing and implementing business rules (freight & service level agreements) to support Nufarm customer segmentation strategies, and optimizing our Cost To Serve (CTS) position.
- In collaboration with the Global Cost to Serve Initiative Team members, implement and manage cost-to-serve processes to support business/commercial decisions regarding what product/customer to supply to maximize the region's profitability and support our growth aspirations.
- Generate multi-dimensional data and cost/service support alternatives to help advance business reviews and decisions.
- Partner with the Distribution Requirement Planning to build process cadence to properly execute inventory replenishment in an optimized network of warehouses.
- Facilitate necessary cross-functional improvements to operating processes and procedures to enable CIP results.
- Support transfer to manufacturing decisions related to make vs buy options in the view of logistics.
- Partner within the logistics team to drive operational logistics results.
Daily Operational Oversight (Service/Cost)
- Measure KPI related to Logistics network, improvement initiatives, and profit leaks utilizing data from Oracle, OTM, and other data sources and tools. Use data to understand causes, make visible, and drive improvements.
- Participate with Operations to lead & execute various CIP initiatives.
- Implement together with Planning the distribution/inventory placement strategies that fit the desired cost to serve models. Implement together with the Warehouse Manager the optimized network of warehouses and replenishment points.
- Implement dashboard and controls to provide visibility to the upper management and sustain gains coming from improvement efforts.
- Models different logistics operating scenarios for dedicated logistics.
Strategy
- Generate a functionally aligned technology plan for logistics data requirements for future needs that enables visibility, data analysis efficiency, effectiveness, and access.
- Develops and keeps an ongoing list of opportunities that can be assessed and engaged for further optimization
- Performs select ‘what if’ analysis for select business inquiries, to help frame future service offerings. Saves modeling templates for future analysis/efficiency.
- Accountable to annual GPS goals and development plans
- SME for logistics network efficiency and logistics data requirements.
What do you bring?
You bring a safety‑first mindset, a bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field, and at least 7 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain or Supply Chain and Finance roles. You have strong analytical and financial acumen, including intermediate Excel skills and experience with tools such as Tableau or Power BI to analyze Oracle and other enterprise data. You’ve led cross‑functional initiatives, think strategically, execute effectively, and can translate complex data into clear, actionable business recommendations.
What do we offer?
Our compensation structure is designed to reflect the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 per year in our lowest geographic market to $1400,000 per year in our highest geographic market. Compensation is determined by several factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
