Job Description
GTM Operations
The GTM Operations team at Shopify is responsible for developing the company's Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and addressing product-specific challenges to enable growth through a sales-assisted approach. The team's work includes product-market fit, sales processes, resourcing, quotas, competition analysis, pricing, partner channels, enablement, and more. The team serves as a connector between Revenue Operations, Product, and other teams, bringing focus and clarity to GTM. The team's impact is felt through revenue plays, program management, thought leadership, business case development, and more.
About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Product GTM Leader to join our team to help us build and scale the growth engine that enables our sales team to bring more Shopify to the world. You’ll bring this goal to life by working with Shopify’s Merchant focused product teams, to align on specific products that will be prioritized, resourced, and ultimately adopted by Shopify Merchants to grow Gross Merchant Volume and Incremental Product Profit for Shopify. This role requires a high degree of cross-organizational agility and influence without direct authority. The person in this role will build productive working relationships with product teams, develop a clear understanding of product priorities and product market fit, and work with the broader team to ensure that priority products are integrated into GTM Strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Own the Rhythm of the business between Revenue and Product teams
- Shape Shopify’s GTM through the decision making process around Product prioritization for sales engagement via Incubation or mainstream.
- Develop and own the narrative around feedback to Product from GTM via participation in Monthly Business Reviews and other channels
- Partner across Product Engineering and Product leadership, leading the liaison into product and engineering operations.
- Lead the Product Interlock Process for GTM Operations, developing business cases and preparing for discussions and decisions with Senior Leadership on Product Prioritization and new investments to support sales growth.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in GTM Operations
- Business Analysis and Acumen
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effectively partner and influence executive level stakeholders from multiple disciplines.
Nice to have:
- Masters degree in Business, or a related field, an asset.
