Job Overview:
TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.
Tasks Summary & Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a working knowledge and understanding of the IATF 16949 Quality Management System and IATF Sanctioned Interpretations. This position requires the applicant to be well organized and self-motivated while working under minimum supervision. The applicant must be knowledgeable of Automotive requirements. The applicant must have knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics. Experience with laboratory information management systems is helpful. Applicants must have problem solving and critical thinking skills while balancing priorities.
The applicant must have excellent technical written and communication skills along with interpersonal skills that are required to interface with external and internal customers. Supporting IATF 16949 internal and external audits is a must.
Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Statistical validation of in-house designed data acquisition units
- Document control for Product Assurance Services
- Maintain AutoLIMS Document Library
- Assist with identifying and requesting security roles for TE contractors and employees
- Maintain Product Assurance Services Business Continuity Plan
- Maintain Product Assurance Services Competency Matrix
- Work as a team member with remote sites and outside vendors
- Generate fiscal month end reports, metrics, statistics for capital requests
- Maintain list of external laboratory accreditations
- Manage Request Tracking System (RTS) Failure Notifications, escalations, responses and feedback to Work Center Leaders
- Process calibration out-of-tolerance notifications
- Learn new systems as they are developed/launched, and train others as needed
- Participate/Lead Product Assurance Services semi-annual management meeting
- Maintain compliance to IATF requirements and sanctioned interpretations including audit preparation and liaison
- Familiarity with Product Assurance Services systems and TE systems to aid in resolution of issues encountered by Product Assurance Services Associates
Professional Experience & Educational Background:
- Minimum B.S. in Mathematics or Engineering/Technical field
- Five or more years in a Quality Assurance role with Quality Systems experience preferred.

- Proficient in Fluke MET/TEAM
