Short Description
As a Signal Integrity Engineer for TE Connectivity you will focus on the electrical design, simulation, and verification/validation testing of high-speed communication products in the AD&M connector and/or cable assembly industry. You will be expected to independently work on product and system designs centered around modeling, simulation, testing, and circuit board layout. Collaborative work is expected within a broader cross functional team of mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and operations professionals to execute leading edge product designs. As the subject matter expert for the signal integrity performance of a product/platform you will work through the initial analysis, prototype fabrication, evaluation, and production verification testing. Be ready to tackle challenging design problems, utilize simulation tools, and make data driven decisions to guide complex designs toward success.
Responsibilities
Located in Middletown, PA, the R&D/Product Signal Integrity Development Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design, analysis, and manufacturing support of ruggedized connector products and related accessories for the harsh environments found in aerospace and defense applications.
Responsibilities include:
- Subject matter expert in signal integrity design, simulation, and validation activities through product development cycles
- Establishing signal integrity design performance/functional requirements for new products
- Performing signal integrity simulations for multiple high-speed standards on each product. This includes determining the correct simulation methodology as well as a good understanding of the criteria for each interface
