Scope

The Vice President Operations - Integrated Supply Chain role will report directly to the IS Segment VP Global Operations and will be a member of the IS Segment Operations leadership team. In this role, the VP will work closely with the Industrial Solutions business units and segment leadership to develop and deploy transformational strategies that ensures the network and supply chain across IS operates at the highest level of effectively and efficiently - providing best-in-class service to our customers.

The Role

The Industrial Solutions, Vice President Operations - Integrated Supply Chain, is responsible for assessing the current capabilities across the integrated supply chain - aligned with the four IS business units (AD&M, Energy, Industrial, and Medical) while building and deploying transformational strategies and initiatives which include:

  • Supplier management - Strategic supplier relationships with rationalization based on a balanced scorecard
  • Localized manufacturing and supply base - Network modeling/redesign to support in-region for-region, vertical integration, and strategic relationships with key local suppliers to reduce lead times
  • Portfolio rationalization - Conduct active portfolio management for each BU to reduce SKUs and # of parts stocked
  • Support upgrade and standardize systems - ERP, analytics tools, and interfaces (IBP) to accurately track and analyze inventory in real time (inbound, outbound, and inventory movement)
  • Process enhancements - e.g., S&OP, inventory management, fulfillment/order to cash - Ensure right talent and leaders are in place to drive change (IS Supply Chain talent assessment)
  • Make vs. Buy and Build Strategy – Develop make vs. buy playbook and revisit build strategy (MTO, MTS, ATO) across the segment
  • Logistics Modeling – Revisit land, ocean, and air effectiveness
  • Lean Deployment – TEOA reset

Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvement transformations across IS operations including business processes critical to the overall strategies of the four IS business units
  • Lead a structured methodology around change management activities across the IS supply chain
  • In partnership with the businesses, assess and build a world class, highly capable supply chain team in IS
  • Be a liaison from the segment to deep dive on specific problems inside the BUs. Apply technical/data driven analyses, problem solve solutions and implement them while managing multiple shareholders
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture through collaboration and communication utilizing best practices, knowledge sharing, internal and external benchmarking, talent development and hands-on leadership
  • Collaborate with other operations and supply chain leaders across the enterprise to exchange best practices while developing standard operating procedures
  • Promote a culture that reflects company’s values, encourages outstanding performance, and promotes positive work environment
  • Recruit diverse candidates, develop, coach, and mentor talents across the segment to ensure every customer opportunity is maximized
  • Support and nurture technology and digitization leveraging systems and platforms to enhance the flow of information and improve supply chain performance
  • Lead operations integration planning for future Industrial Solutions M&A.
  • Play a critical role in developing processes that support the deployment next generation ERP and business critical platforms.
  • Lead, manage and development Segment Operations transformation team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • 15+ years operations/supply chain experience preferably in a technology environment/industry
  • Proven strategic thinker/business acumen
  • High level of proficiency in supply chain transformation and extensive knowledge of supply chain design, processes, and techniques
  • Experience and demonstrated results in a large, complex global organization
  • Demonstrated track record of taking initiative, working in a fast-paced environment, and handling multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Record of proven results in driving structural changes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead/influence multi-cultural global teams, helping them grow to be stronger and more effective

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $254,480.00 – $381,720.00 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
