Job Overview

As Director, HR Technical Operations, for TE’s Technology & Integration organization, you will lead a team and will be responsible for leading a global team of Product Owners, Technical Architects, DevOps & Technical Operations team. You will influence as a change agent to drive efficiencies across various HR Solutions groups and accelerate employee/manager self-service and digitization. These efforts will support ongoing business needs, as well as a multitude of HR transformation programs impacting a global audience. This position is a strong, influential leader who will work with teams across the TE HR Operating Model – both partnering with global teams including TE Information Systems and People Analytics teams driving changes and within regional teams implementing strategic initiatives. This eco-system of partners includes Product Owners, Business Process Owners, Business Process Management Leads, HR Communications, the HR PMO and Portfolio Management Office, HR Innovation Centers, HRBPs, and business teams.

Responsibilities include

  • Leverage and implement best practices for global HR Applications such as but not limited to, SuccessFactors, Zendesk, MuleSoft, Talend, Tableau, ServiceNow CMDB, AWS edge computing, HR Cloud and On-prem infrastructure support.
  • Collaborate with Business Process Mgmt. Leads (BPMs) to deliver technical and functional roadmaps including but not limited to orchestrating and optimizing business process workflows, application rationalization with overall objective to deliver best class technology with low cost to manage, support and operate.
  • Establish a working relationship with business stakeholders and enable continuous process improvement including ROI (Return on Investment) and cost reduction leveraging insights uncovered through process mining and process improvement tools
  • Oversees and maintains optimal function of the organizations’ internal HR information systems which may include database management, cloud apps, SaaS apps, , in-house apps, extensions, Web Service APIs, custom development, maintenance and upgrades to applications, systems and modules.
  • Gain domain knowledge and contribute to the development of “thought ware” and training to upskill staff competencies.
  • Guide HR Solutions and Technology teams through implementation and sustainment of new initiatives as well as equip members of cross-functional teams directly (via leadership) or indirectly (via coaching)
  • Provide subject matter expertise (SME), while managing across diverse teams. Owns deliverables, manages to deadlines, communicates across teams and responsible for aligning information technology planning with the business strategy.
  • Works with product management team and technical staff to understand and resolve Tier-2 and Tier-3 production support and process improvements.

Required Skills

  • Exhaustive understanding of SAP, Cloud Technology pertaining to Global ERP, HRIS Application management and support.
  • Project management experience running, implementing, and supporting global projects
  • Analytical and consultative approach to business process design and implementation
  • Deep understanding of change management, agile and technical operations
  • Experience leading a geographically dispersed team with varying levels of skills and competency.
  • Ability to execute with speed, agility and scale while navigating complex considerations such as data privacy, security and compliance.
  • Logical structuring – a structured approach to problem-solving and the ability to perform root cause analysis
  • Proven communication skills and the ability to articulate messages through a variety of verbal or written formats for customers up through senior leadership
  • Proactive, self-starter who can identify challenges and propose thoughtful, data-driven solutions
  • Ability to navigate a matrixed work environment and operate independently with minimal oversight
  • Quickly anticipate the needs of others and serve as a trusted advisor to product and program teams
  • Can work through ambiguity and make prioritization calls around multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to drive analysis to understand the root cause(s) and resolution once the cause has been identified
  • Highly motivated – willing to roll up your sleeves and get the job done, even in situations where the work is outside of the scope of your respective role

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • Minimum 15 years of experience or related field supporting large global Engineering/IT or HR Technology teams and 10+ years of management experience in SAP ERP, SAP SuccessFactors or SAP HCM or Workday Applications.
  • Strong HR functional experience with technology & operations.
  • Strong and proven ITIL experience implementing COBIT standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing SAP SuccessFactors HR, Payroll or Time and Attendance Applications for global large enterprises.
  • Experience working with Celonis or Signavio or similar process mining tools
  • Above average proficiency with Tableau, Visio, MS Projects, Jira and PPM tools

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $156,200 - $234,200 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
