Job Overview:

As a Manufacturing Development Engineering Intern in our North America Aerospace, Defense & Marine team, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Support development of new product manufacturing processes including generation of detailed work instructions, tooling, fixturing
  • Resolve production issues by determining the cause of manufacturing defects or failures and making recommendation to correct and permanently resolve the problems.
  • Develop and design manufacturing tooling/fixturing utilizing CAD/Modelling systems leading to prototype 3D printing or hard tooling
  • Support projects in resolution of customer complaints, scrap reductions, efficiency problems, rate improvements, process deviations, Sample Runs, and cost reduction projects.
  • Front facing experience with internal customers (Product Development Engineering, Quality Engineering, Project Management) and external customers.
  • Develop communication skills while working with cross-functional product launch teams.

What your background should look like:

    • Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0
    • Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree Program in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or other related engineering major
    • Currently enrolled in an accredited University or College for the duration of the Internship
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Due to ITAR regulations, US citizenship or US lawful permanent residency (green card) is required to apply for this position.

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $$18-35 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
