We are looking for motivated, dependable and team- oriented Molding Operators to join our growing automotive team in Greensboro, NC. At TE, our molding teams operate assigned automated molding machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures. Your Role
3rd Shift 11:30pm - 7:30am, Monday – Friday

Perform mold changeovers (this includes pulling and setting molds, plumbing molds for correct water flow, cleaning granulators, changing End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT) and loading robot program and process parameters) to ensure product conforms to quality and productivity requirements.

Perform start-ups and/or re-starts of equipment (molding machines & support equipment)

Perform daily verification of established process parameters.

Perform gate steal studies and check ring repeatability tests to ensure optimal process repeatability.

Troubleshoot auxiliary molding press equipment (including automation).

Work closely with Engineering, Mold Shop and Maintenance personnel to ensure molds & equipment are maintained in optimal operating condition.

Assist in material changeovers as needed.

Complete required paperwork to report production, scrap, press downtime, etc.

Responsible for maintaining a high level of housekeeping in manufacturing area.

Adhere to all company and department guidelines, procedures and policies
Required Qualifications:
- HS diploma or GED is required.
- Ability to operate an injection molding machine.
- Ability to use measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, etc.) and interpret product blueprints.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work to successfully accomplish job duties.
- Ability to lift 55 lbs.
- Pulling and/or pushing molds using a pallet jack or a mold cart.
- Bending, twisting, turning.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be proficient in the English language.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience of setting molds into injection molding machines is preferred.
- Understanding of scientific molding principles (or Decoupled Molding) is preferred.
- Working knowledge of robotics, material handling systems and automation equipment is preferred.
