Job Overview

As an Intern on our Product and Process Development (PPD) team, you’ll have the opportunity to:

Work with Senior Engineers to develop our next generation of products

Understanding customer requirements and translating them into cost-effective designs

Helping with test planning and execution

Responsibilities

Job functions include but are not limited to the following.

Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) process to identify root cause and determine corrective actions to prevent recurrence of equipment failure

Design and coordinate standard engineering tests and experiments

Design, procure, and fabricate tooling and fixtures

Assist in planning, organization, and conducting all aspects of technical studies

Lead one or more projects that will be started and completed within the Internship

Assist in writing Manufacturing Process Instructions

Provide engineering support for other departments as needed

Prepare and complete a presentation to the department at the end of the internship showing your projects and achievements 

What your background should look like:

Currently enrolled in an accredited University or College for the duration of the Internship

Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Biomedical, and Chemical or related Engineering discipline

Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0

Comfortable working in both laboratory and manufacturing environments

Desire to work on projects

Leadership skills

Good analytical skills with attention to detail

Strong verbal and written communication abilities

Ability and desire to work in a team environment

Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications

Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the business

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $18.00 – 27.00 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
