Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.
As a Process Development Engineer on the New Product Development (NPD) team, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Get exposure to the medical device industry and its practices
- Support process development, to create a positive change in manufacturability and yield
- Participate in cross-functional teams to help solve manufacturing problems, across product lines
Responsibilities
Can have responsibility for any of the following project inputs:
- Coordinate standard engineering tests, feasibility builds and experiments with attention to detail
- Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Materials sourcing and device prototyping
- Clinical builds
- Process Validation
- Manufacturing transfer and support of existing product lines as applicable
- Writing and documenting process instructions
- Create/Improve manufacturing processes and process documentation
- Operator training
- Coordinate with different functional groups as required
- Will be involved in the design, development, and validation requirements of projects
What your background should look like:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment with mechanical, tool design, and manufacturing processes - is preferred
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills and to obtain, evaluate, and apply secondary research information
- Ability to fully interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications & illustrations
- Ability to learn and apply new technology
- Knowledge of MS Office tools - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

COMPENSATION
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $62,500 – 93,700
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
- Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
