Job Overview

The Position as Wafer Fab Process Technician contains the responsibilities of supporting the process engineers and machine operators to facilitate the efficient fabrication of MEMS wafers in volume production.

The Wafer Fab Process Technician will work closely together with the production and R&D team. The candidate will be responsible for running process evaluation lots and maintain daily SPC on processes on the production floor and drive improvement to increase product yield.

The position requires spending 80% of the time in the cleanroom.

Responsibilities:

  • Support manufacturing with first level troubleshooting of process issues to continue production
  • Document issues and when needed contact engineering to resolve
  • Help maintain production tools by performing daily/weekly checks on critical machine parameters and maintaining in SPC charts. Take appropriate actions based on data driven decision making.
  • Support process engineers with processing of DOE material to gather data needed for decision making
  • Must be capable and proficient on various metrology tools used during manufacturing
  • Create detailed instructions of work needed at each workstation to allow consistency across shifts and/or future training.
  • Support any RMA and/or 8D activities as needed
  • Qualification of new production equipment and engineering support of existing equipment
  • Participate in identified yield improvement activities by using standard tools such as 5 Why, Ishikawa diagrams, 8D’s and similar problem solving tools.

What your background should look like:

  • Knowledgeable across multiple semiconductor operations
  • Hands on wafer processing experience in cleanroom environment
  • Experienced with standard metrology equipment used in semiconductor/ MEMS fabrication
  • Experience with MEMS devices especially pressure sensors, accelerometers fabrication - preferred
  • Ability to work with proper PPE, and chemicals used in semiconductor manufacturing process
  • Knowledge of DOE, ANOVA, and SPC in production environment
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485 or TS 16949 quality systems - preferred
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) or SAP experience - preferred
  • Able to evaluate and resolve issues
  • Follow standard work procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, Power point), Visual Basic, LabView
  • Self-Starter, self-motivated, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $73K - $110K (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
