Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.

Job Overview
This Manufacturing Strategy Analyst with strong industrial engineering and business intelligence acumen is responsible for capturing and analyzing real time capacity data and providing recommendations that will lead to global strategic improvement and investment decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a capacity database of all tools and processes that are located both internally and at suppliers.
  • Develop manufacturing strategy for each GPL assigned, including validation and cross functional alignment.
  • Provide a visual product catalogue of all processes of each product, as well as capability and capacity of each process by location including non-ICT BU locations that produce ICT products.
  • Work closely with Engineering groups to measure and manage tools and equipment’s utilization (OEU, overall equipment Utilization) and reflect OEU to the capacity database.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the data in the database.
  • Work closely with cross-functional team such as Project Managers, Industrial Process Engineers and Operations to capture the status of capacity projects.
  • Collaborate with related function teams to validate the outcome and timing of the improvement projects/processes, reflect those outcomes to the capacity database and strategy.
  • Provide capacity forecast to Supply Chain for Demand vs Capacity analysis to identify capacity gaps.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Footprint and Supply Chain teams to analyze the causes for capacity gaps, propose capacity increase and localization plans that minimize capacity gaps including triggers for Sustaining project kick off.
  • Communicate capacity increase and localization plans to Project Manager Team to kick off and execute projects.
  • Simulate combination options of available manufacturing sources, capacity, and locations to enable project leaders to identify best path to industrialize their products.
  • Other Tasks assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Project Management experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish reading, writing, and speaking is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Operations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes (Injection mold & Assembly process)
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to gather and analyze large amounts of data at a macro and micro level
  • Experience of data science, statistics or related discipline is highly preferred.
  • Experience of manufacturing capacity planning is desirable
  • Strong data analytical skills and logical thinking
  • Strong communication abilities (written and verbal)
  • Ability to drive accountability and operational tempo amongst core team
  • Ability to work independently and remotely as part of a virtual team
  • The capability to travel dogmatically and internationally

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $121,900 –$182,900 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
