Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Material Handler Teams perform the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. They unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items.
Under the general direction of the Manufacturing Manager, the Material Handler is responsible for managing receipt, inventory, and staging of all materials needed for manufacturing and process development activities in compliance with ISO13485 requirements. This includes interfacing with computer-based inventory management systems, verifying purchase order receipt, and collaboration with Engineering, Clinical Research, and Manufacturing technicians to confirm material receipt and ensure inventory availability at time of need.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inventory, and stage materials for product development and manufacturing teams daily, and in alignment with planned schedules.
- Routine use of computer-based inventory management systems, outlook, excel, and additional applications as needed
- Thorough attention to detail to ensure the quality, type, and amount of materials received are accurate, and verified against purchase order requirements
- Ensure inventory accuracy is maintained at all times, where traceability and physical and systematic data are consistent
- Routine material arrangement to ensure first-in-first-out material usage is maintained
- Coordination with engineers and/or QC inspection technicians to ensure received materials intended for PD/MFG use are examined, measured, and visually inspected as required per the associated part design specifications prior to completion into inventory.
- Routinely cycle counts and manages expired inventory
- Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
- Prepare, package, and ship materials as needed
- Safely store, move, lift, push, and pull items up to 40 lbs. Solicit help from team members as appropriate to ensure adherence to safe material handling practices.
- Communicate with appropriate team members when critical or urgent materials are received, and effectively prioritize efforts to ensure key deliverables are met
- Wears required personal protective equipment according to the task and area, such as safety glasses, gloves, steel toed shoes, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education/Skills:
Education
- High School diploma or GED preferred
Experience
- 1+ years experience minimum material handling, warehousing, or similar role preferred

Works Closely With:
Manufacturing Manager, Production Coordinator, Operators, Technicians, Machinists, and Product Development Engineers.

COMPENSATION
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $35600-53300(subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
- Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
