Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Assembly Teams operate assigned automated assembly machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Job Description: TE Connectivity’s Assembly Operator II, will assemble fabricated Hydra Light Wet-Mate connectors, as specified by work orders, diagrams, or layout: Aligns and clamps parts together, using rule, square, or hand tools, or positions items in fixtures, jigs, or vise. Performs duties while paying attention to quality and detail. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity’s EH&S policies and procedures.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Assembled and aligned parts and fixtures using hand and power tools.

  • Inspected all work for quality and compliance with design standards.

  • Performed hydrostatic testing to products, in accordance to work instructions.

  • Responsible for ensuring continuous operations by performing readjustments, fixing jams and misfeeds.

  • Performs in-process and final inspection of terminals to ensure that QIP specifications are met, and that product is processed to print requirements.

  • Responsible for performing routine Preventative Maintenance on machines.

  • Responsible for preparing finished parts to be taken by Material Handling

  • Ability to run multiple machines at the same time.

  • Assist in training other associates on an as needed basis.

  • Flexibility to respond to multiple assignments.

What your background should look like:

Experience/Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • 2 years manufacturing experience required!

  • 2 years’ experience with Manufacturing machine Set-up.

  • Prior knowledge of OTDR experience is highly preferred.

  • Prior knowledge of HYDROSTATIC pressure testing experience is highly preferred.

  • S A P Manufacturing & ISO 9001 experience is preferred but not required.

  • Fiber Optics is preferred but not required.

  • Working knowledge of hand tools and print reading

  • A safe quality conscious attitude working in a team environment.

  • Will work overtime to support production goals as needed.

An Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) is a device that tests the integrity of a fiber cable and is used for the building, certifying, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optic systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to push/pull/carry a minimum of 50 lbs.

  • Frequent walking and standing are required.

  • Frequently required to extend arms and hands between knees and shoulders; frequent holding and grasping with hands

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $35,360 – $37,440 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
