Job Overview
This Staff Manufacturing Engineer position requires a mix of mechanical and electrical engineering skills. The ideal candidate will be in charge of transforming a labor-intensive manufacturing plant into an automated manufacturing plant. This will include, but not be limited to: robotics for press tending, automated inspection equipment including vision systems, and robotics for packaging and material handling.
**This role will be onsite in Jonestown, PA and will not offer relocation assistance**
What your background should look like:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred, or 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing plant
- Automation Design and Industrialization Experience
- Vision Systems Experience
- PLC Programming Experience
- Ability to troubleshoot machines/equipment and provide direction to technicians.
- Knowledge of Category 3 safety systems
- Digital Factory/Hydra experience a plus
- Ability to work towards completion of projects within defined schedules.
- Strong communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize a rapidly changing set of objectives.
- Capability to work in a fasted paced, dynamic global environment with multiple changing priorities.
- Proficient in MS Office Software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- SAP experience a plus.
- Strong project management skills.

COMPENSATION
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $104,600-156,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
- Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
