Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to the production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes, and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area and following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
An essential job function of the production supervisor is communicating daily priorities to the team of operators you will supervise so that business commitments can be met. They must speak to keep employees engaged and motivated. Consistent job status tracking will be required at every phase of the manufacturing process. Meeting commitments is a crucial element for this role. They must leverage cross-functional roles to deliver results on time or ahead of schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with the daily production schedule
- Ensure compliance with all training schedules, update and maintain the training program
- Plan, organize, and direct the manufacturing function to ensure the most effective return on assets
- Be production employees escalation for stop-works- provide immediate direction and leadership
- Be a visible presence in manufacturing areas
- Respond to daily pass-downs to keep the production floor operating smoothly
- Schedule and coordinate weekend shifts when needed to meet production commitments
- Start and close production lots and work orders as needed
- Maintain ISO-compliant manufacturing records
- Provide leadership and adequate resources to support site quality systems
- Generate daily yield and output reports
- Maintain production spreadsheets to allow lot tracking
What your background should look like:
Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of quality standards and tools
- Able to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively and be detail oriented
- Team oriented
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management
- Five years minimum in a leadership role in manufacturing
- Ability to lead and train individuals and teams
- Self-starter and self-motivator with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
- SAP experience desired
- LEAN, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience desired
Competencies
COMPENSATION
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $59,050 - $88,550 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
