Job Overview
The Shainin Red X Master is the leader of technical problem-solving activities across the Aerospace Defense & Marine Business Unit within TE Connectivity with special focus on high impact sites. She/He leads cross functional teams to solve complex and difficult manufacturing or design problems, define a path to identify high impact projects based on metrics using Rolling Top 5TM, delivering year over year improvements and cost savings. Develops cross functional teams on different problem-solving methodologies, such as Red X, Six Sigma, SPS & QRQC. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Global Quality and will manage by influence across the manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities
- lead problem-solving activities around high impact customer problems, such as technical communication with customers, root-cause analysis and effective solutions.
- Lead a cross functional team to apply diligently a structured problem-solving methodology (Shainin, Six Sigma or equivalent)
- Coach and develop Problem Solver Practitioners
- Lead COPQ reduction Strategy & Execution
- Coordinate & Develop training programs to grow the team Problem solving expertise, working with Systematic Problem-Solving methodologies: Shainin Red X, Six Sigma and other convergent methodologies.
- Define priorities for the technical problem-solving team
- Proactively anticipate roadblocks to find solutions and escalate when needed
- Ensure methodologies are correctly applied
- Report out to Senior Management project progress, people development, savings
What your background should look like:
Background, skills, competences:
Mandatory
- BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Technical problem-solving certification (Shainin Red X Master or Six Sigma Master Black Belt)
- Proven record of Advanced problem-solving capabilities
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and product design
- Strong attention to details
- Experienced coach and trainer
- Passionate about people development
- Leadership skills and strong business acumen
- Good Interpersonal skill to work with people at different levels.
- Great verbal and written communication
- Expected Travel = 50% - 85%
Preferred
- Master’s degree on a technical engineering (mechanical or electrical)
- Multilingual in French, Spanish, English
- Technical problem-solving trainer experience
- Able to develop Dashboards (PowerBI/Tableau) and to apply Data Science (Python, R)
- Knowledge of TRIZ, TNSFT, SPS, QRQC, Kepner Tregoe or Shifting gears is a plus

COMPENSATION
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $94,500 – $141,700 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
