Key Job Responsibilties

• Drive direct and indirect distributor sales performance and meet sales targets by reviewing global distributor performance with branches including top/bottom customers, GPL trends, new product performance and competitive cross reference activities.
  
• Performing customer demonstrations by setting up sensors and evaluation kits to test out sensor platforms. This includes the new wireless based sensors that have Bluetooth and LORA communications.
  
• Helping to debug customer configurations with engineers who are having difficulties.
  
• Support distribution market managers (DMMs) to drive mindshare and promotion of TES products among distributor teams. Promotion includes technical engineering training to distribution engineers.
  
• Achieve a solid understanding of TES product portfolio and new product launch roadmap.
  
• Interface with customer engineers to communicate effectively back to the Product Marketing and development teams the specific electrical and mechanical features that customers require in new devices.
  
• Establish relationships with key customer engineering contacts and decision makers.
  
• Hold whiteboard meetings to assist engineering teams design in the correct TE Sensor

Key Behaviors

What your background should look like:

• BS degree in Engineering (Electrical and or Mechanical preferred)
  
• Design engineering experience that allows credibility with your engineers and leadership in white board design sessions. Experience working with computer driven application software.
  
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical sales engineering role
  
• Experience working with Distribution (Channel Distributors preferred)
  
• Sales Engineering experience in the sensor industry a plus
  
• Experience working with MS Power Point, Excel, Word, and Outlook (Salesforce is a plus)
  
• Must be willing and able to travel a minimum of 50% of the time into customers within your territory.

Compensation

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $100,000 – $135,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
