Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.
Purpose or Objective Of Position:
Provide advanced technical assistance to Quality Manager, Supplier Quality Engineers, and other QA functions as required.
Essential Functions:
- Support processes for RI and Production purchased material issues to enable more effective and efficient problem resolution with supplier.
- Obtain objective evidence for non-conformances to validate issues and gather additional variable data.
- Manage Initiation Verification, Containment, and Disposition Execution tasks for supplier caused non-conformances in applicable NC QMS.
- Accountable to supplier quality teams for performance on schedule of assigned technical and/or documentation tasks (e.g. NCMR dispositions, investigations, etc.).
- Attend daily Value Stream team meetings as Supplier Quality representative.
- Perform tasks related to shipping non-conforming samples to supplier for evaluation.
- Assist S/QE’s in documenting, executing, and reporting supplier quality metrics
- Assist in maintaining the Approved Supplier List and the required supplier documentation.
- Develop and maintain records for coordination of quality engineering.
- Assist in development & revisions of quality inspection plans and illustrations.
- Plan & collect data for problem solving and/or process improvements as instructed.
- Prepare supplier quality reports when asked and as applicable.
- Assistance on projects including cost and process improvements.
Shift is: Monday to Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm - flexible schedule available
What your background should look like:
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Education Needed To Do The Job:
- Requires 4 years minimum related experience with inspection and inspection equipment.
- Requires advanced knowledge of reading and understanding specification documents.
- Requires advanced knowledge of SAP.
- Experience non-conforming material process and standard root cause corrective action processes.
- Solid understanding of inspection and test equipment.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, organization skills.
- Demonstrate effective communication within the organization and with suppliers.
- Working knowledge of pertinent techniques and systems (such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Sharepoint etc.).
- Experience as a technician in a manufacturing and/or design environment a plus.
- Preferred two year associates degree in math, statistics, chemistry, or engineering and/or equivalent experience.

COMPENSATION
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $50,700 – $76,100 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
