Job Overview
Develop as a self-directed frontline leader capable of running any operational area, directly leading a line/department of ~10-20 employees (including temporary workers). Full operational responsibility for the area including overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensures company KPI's (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People, TEAO) are continuously met. Develops engaged and empowered teams to deliver peak performance. Drives trust, respect, honesty, and cultural change.
This is a weekend shift supervising employees working Friday - Sunday 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM.
Essential Functions
- Provide a safe and productive work environment, including housekeeping, for all team members that align with EH&S regulations and specifications. Establish and drive new safety improvements.
- Maximize the quality of all products in operations driving down scrap and audit quality checks within the whole area. Process non-conforming material information and work with direct team to improve processes and prevent future deviations from quality standards.
- Own the production schedule and remain disciplined in achieving the plan.
- Work closely with management, other supervisors and production support teams to communicate status of operations via tiered processes, request assistance, re-allocate staff, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Define goals, develop standard work, improve technologies/processes, and determine best course of action to meet KPIs and resolve issues.
- Review, plan, and coordinate the assignment of production workers to meet on-time delivery of high-quality products to our customers. Balance headcount and costs in line with volumes utilizing staff flexibly across production areas when fluctuations in demand occur.
- Determine if labor resources are enough for successfully meeting production requirements and communicate needs to management, human resources and staffing agencies. Interview and hire employees and temporary workers. Develop overtime schedules as necessary to achieve on-time delivery. Assure resources are properly trained and utilized to achieve maximum capacity.
- Manage employee performance and absenteeism in accordance with TE policy and local employment law.
- Conduct regular 1:1’s with employees to provide performance feedback and develop employees to achieve their full potential. Define clear employee performance expectations, set developmental goals, reward and discipline as necessary.
What your background should look like:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment or combined experience/education in related field (engineering, business, supply chain etc.).
- Previous experience with quality systems and manufacturing processes.
- Proven ability to lead/drive change using lean manufacturing techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbal and written.
- Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills.
- Ability to manage conflict, operate without bias, and uphold the TE Values
- Strong aptitude in Microsoft Office—Outlook, Excel, and Word or ability to quickly learn internal software tools.

COMPENSATION
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $59,050 - $88,550
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
