Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage Master Schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis.
- Meet with production team/sales/account management daily or weekly to determine customer orders and materials needed to meet production demand.
- Act as communication link with production supervisors, purchasing, warehouse/inventory, sales, quality, and customer service regarding the flow of material through the facility.
- Work with supervisors to improve production efficiencies.
- Monitor material inventory, track progress of production, and review factors which will affect production schedules.
- Oversee, audit, and suggest changes to facility capacity measures to ensure alignment with production schedule.
- Initiate reports to keep management aware of production supply inventory levels relative to plan.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data to make decisions that may impact production, personnel and processes.
- Releases and tracks finished goods and work in progress work order through to shipping to ensure revenue targets are met.
- Other duties as assigned.
What your background should look like:
- High School diploma and 2+ years’ experience in planning/supply chain.
- Hands-on problem solver who addresses issues promptly with a proactive attitude and the ability to efficiently prioritize projects.
- Knowledgeable in MRP/ERP systems, cost reduction, demand flow and build-to-forecast.
- Proficient in MS Excel and other Microsoft Programs.
- Ability to accomplish assigned projects utilizing strong communication (written and verbal), project management, time management and collaboration skills.

COMPENSATION
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $36,880 - $55,320
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
