Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Shipping & Receiving Teams perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties. They use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting incoming and outgoing shipments. They follow shipping practices and procedures, transportation routing, schedules and requirements. The Shipping & Receiving Teams receive incoming materials and prepare materials for shipment. They process freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents. They also route merchandise to destinations.

What You'll Be Doing....

• Supervising warehouse staff and daily activities.
  
• Managing, evaluating, and reporting on warehouse productivity.
  
• Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
  
• Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
  
• Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
  
• Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.
  
• Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations including training.
  
• Performing a daily inspection of the shipping & storage areas.
  
• Coordinating and maintaining forklifts and equipment.
  
• Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers.

• Safety mindset in all operations (equipment, dock & plant)
  
• Monitor and improve processes and procedures to avoid delays and production interruptions
  
• On-time delivery service for all internal and external customers.
  

What your background should look like:

• Degree in business, management, logistics or a related field preferred.
  
• 3-5 years or previous experience as a shipping warehouse supervisor or a similar management position.
  
• Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
  
• Time management skills and the ability to delegate.
  
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP and MES systems
  
• Problem-solving skills.
  
• Proven ability to work in teams with strong initiative to win.

This position is located at our Distribution Center in Greensboro, NC.
