Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Financial Planning & Analysis Teams develop, interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control. They perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. They gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. The Financial Planning & Analysis Teams also perform economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.
The Financial Analyst will provide analytical and financial process support to the Americas Business Unit. Responsibilities will include monthly financial close activities, management reporting, fixed assets, accounts receivable, sales reporting, and data analytics. The chosen incumbent will report to the FP&A Manager for the Energy Business Unit.
Responsibilities:
- Financial reporting and analysis to include Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, operating expense details for travel, car leases, and procurement cards.
- Compliance auditing including TE policies, supplier contracts, daily audit reports,etc
- Monthly close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, reviews of variances to forecast and plan.
- Manage temporary employee verifications of contracts, hours, and rates
- Participate in Shared Service’s Accounts Receivable reviews and align on accruals and credit hold releases. Review weekly residuals with Customer Service.
- Coordinate Accounts Receivable improvements activities and escalations. Drive past due reduction with Sales, Customer Service, and Shared Services. Follow-up on any non-US past dues with the country accounting teams.
- Asset accounting including asset audits, RFID tagging, and documentation
- Assist with the monthly forecast and the annual business plan
- Assist with sales reporting and analysis
- Provide support for external and internal audits
- Compliance with internal controls and corporate policies
- Preparing ad hoc analysis as requested.
What your background should look like:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required
- Three to five years of accounting experience
- Computer skills - MS Office
- Experience using Hyperion and SAP is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
- Strong problem solving skills

COMPENSATION
