Job Overview

The Communications Solutions segment is a leading supplier of electronic components for the data and devices and appliances markets. The primary products of the Communications Solutions segment include terminals and connector systems and components, relays, antennas, and heat shrink tubing. The Communications Solutions segment’s products are used in the following end markets:

  • Appliances - We provide solutions to meet the daily demands of home appliances. Our products are used in many household appliances, including washers, dryers, refrigerators, air conditioners, dishwashers, cooking appliances, water heaters, air cleaners, floor care devices, and microwaves. An array of custom-designed solutions supplements our expansive range of standard products.
  • Data and devices—We deliver products and solutions used in various equipment architectures within the networking equipment, data center equipment, and wireless infrastructure industries. Additionally, we provide connectivity solutions for the Internet of Things, smartphones, tablet computers, notebooks, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence applications to help our customers meet their current challenges and future innovations.

The Strategy Manager will report to the senior director of communication solutions for the Segment and will work on the Segment’s global strategy.
This position can be based in most locations in Europe, the United States, and Canada, with travel expected to be less than 20% of the time to meet colleagues and clients, attend industry events, etc.

As a Communication Solutions Strategy team member, you will contribute to growth strategy, portfolio recommendations, competitive strategy, and business performance by working on strategic decisions and critical business issues.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the development of a robust strategic plan.
  • Effectively translate business requests into well-defined problems.
  • Collaborates with the Segment and Business Unit teams to solve complex business problems.
  • Develop strategies and approaches to fulfill complex project assignments creatively and meaningfully.
  • Identify critical trends across markets, industries, and competitors that affect our businesses.
  • Analyze industry structure, competitive dynamics, market attractiveness, technology, and regulatory trends—project likely evolutions to inform strategy development.
  • Create analytical models to address critical business questions and translate output into explicit stories.
  • Lead the overall fact-based creation and communication process.
  • Contribute to the professional development of Analysts.

Experiences:

  • Familiarity with diverse tools and theories of strategy formulation and implementation within a complex organization.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle – with experience applying these skills in managing teams and leading projects.
  • Experience with a top-tier General Management Consulting Firm focusing on high-tech or diversified industrial clients is desired.

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $148,160 - $222,240 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges based on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate and internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
