Job Overview
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer who is passionate about marrying Infrastructure and applications with emerging automation technologies. This position will manage our infrastructure through code and assist other team members with managing systems using modern approaches. You will lead efforts to incorporate open-source tools, automation, and DevOps practices to cut down on tedious, manual tasks and promote an innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage our infrastructure and monitoring platform through code and automate application deployments whenever possible
- Collaborate closely with other engineers by receiving and providing feedback on plans, technical designs, and code
- Ability to pick up and learn new development and operations skills
- Build and maintain operations software which automates the configuration, provisioning, and deployment of our core systems
- This position focuses on automation, efficiency, and continuous delivery initiatives
You're the kind of person we are looking for if you:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 2+ years of experience; bachelor’s degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred
- 2+ years of experience with systems administration or systems engineering, specifically VMWare, Windows, Linux, and Unix
- 2+ years of experience with automated Windows and Linux infrastructure management using Windows PowerShell, JavaScript, Ansible, Python, Bash, etc.
- Experience building tools for automation (building, testing, releasing, monitoring, and alarming)
- Experience with monitoring systems (e.g., SolarWinds, Dynatrace, Nagios, etc.)
- Experience building Infrastructure as Code, leveraging DevOps and GitOps best practices
- Knowledgeable of regulatory and cyber security standards / best practices
- Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools
- Must be self-motivated and stay current on new technologies and best practices and have strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus
- Authorized to work in the US
Competencies
COMPENSATION
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $80,240 – $123,360 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
