Job Overview
At TE Automotive, we bring cars to life, powering everything from electric systems to sensors and infotainment, even in the toughest environments. We partner with automakers around the world to shape the future of connected vehicles. We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Technician to join our team, specializing in high-speed progressive dies. In this role, you will help build, condition, troubleshoot, and ramp up new dies into production, ensuring they meet our high-quality standards and run efficiently. This is a 1st shift temporary position with our organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Build and condition new dies to meet quality and speed requirements.
- Perform product changeovers as needed.
- Inspect parts using blueprints and precision measuring tools.
- Act as the go-to technical lead for your team on day-to-day issues.
- Provide training and technical support to production teams.
- Sharpen, repair, and create precision tooling as needed.
- Set up and operate stamping press work centers when required.
- Collaborate effectively across shifts.
- Always follow safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Create clear work instructions.
- Train production teams during handoff.
- Support tool design, maintenance, and precision tooling.
- Occasionally travel to support projects.
What your background should look like
- Enjoys hands-on technical work and solving problems
- Works well independently and values teamwork
- Open-minded, eager to learn, and takes pride in high-quality work
- High school diploma or GED (required); Associate degree preferred
- 7+ years of experience in high-speed progressive stamping
- 7+ years of experience in tool making, die maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Completion of an accredited apprenticeship (a plus)
- Strong understanding of progressive tool concepts and design
- Excellent math skills, especially in trigonometry
- Experience with AutoCAD and 3D modeling (preferred)
- Proficiency in English and strong communication skills

COMPENSATION
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $80,200 – 120,300 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
- Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
