The role of a Resource Manager is to ensure that the right consultants, with the right skills and expertise, are assigned to client projects in a timely manner. This role mainly involves understanding the staffing needs of a project, assessing the strengths and goals of Thoughtworkers, and aligning them appropriately to ensure successful outcomes for Thoughtworks.
This role will report to the Head of Resource Management for North America.
Job responsibilities
- Staff consultants to fulfill open roles, driving maximum utilization towards client project assignments.
- You have a crucial role in ensuring that staffing decisions strike a balance between the needs of Thoughtworkers, Clients, and the overall business.
- Collaborate with fellow Resource Manager to ensure project teams are staffed effectively.
- Work closely with the regional Head of Resource Management to create a healthy supply pipeline for the upcoming near-term demand.
- You will be working closely with accounts to provide learning opportunities for Thoughtworkers, enabling them to build skills on the job while maintaining positive client outcomes.
- Acquire a better understanding and stay updated on skill trends within role groups and strive to maintain a well-balanced pipeline.

- Ensure data hygiene in systems and consistency of processes in providing staffing recommendations.
- Approach staffing challenges with a hands-on mentality, employing data and metrics to guide decision-making, and consistently applying best practices.
- Focus on achieving results, meeting staffing goals, and contributing to a higher utilization of Thoughtworkers.
- Experience working with Googlesheets/Excel
- Experience working with resource management tools

Travel
While we’ve traditionally been a traveling consultancy, we have adopted a hybrid working model with the majority of work being completed remotely from either home or local Thoughtworks offices. However, business travel to client locations should be expected when required by Thoughtworks or our clients’ needs.
