The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior E&I Engineer to join us in our Infrastructure Delivery team in Brisbane or Melbourne on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
Reporting to the Team Lead – Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering, you will play a key role in providing engineering design support, technical document preparation and review, package engineering services and commissioning services in support of APA operations and the delivery of projects for new assets and upgrades to existing plant and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering delivery for Electrical Engineering scopes on assigned projects or program of projects
- Prepare and agree engineering CTR, deliverables list, and requirements for Project deliverables with Project Engineering Lead
- Facilitate engagement of external service providers for delivery of Project deliverables.
- Accountable for on-time-on-budget delivery of Delivery Project deliverables to Project Engineering Lead
- Prepare detailed electrical engineering design documentation including FEED studies, scopes of works, specifications, datasheets, calculations, reports, drawings etc.
Your background
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering admitting to corporate membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in the design, construction, operation or maintenance of assets.
- Proven experience in performing detailed engineering design work, technical reporting, and development of technical standards or guidelines.
- Demonstrated experience of project engineering delivery, managing cost and schedule outcomes.
- Proven experience in managing the delivery of engineering Services in a Projects environment.
- Chartered Professional Engineer, or Registered Professional Engineer Queensland and Victoria, or eligible for registration by qualification or experience (Preferred)
About the Team
This is a rare opportunity to join the Infrastructure Engineering Team to support the electrification of APA assets and contribute to the company’s critical role in Australia’s energy transition. The role is responsible for the design and implementation of world class engineering standards and processes. The team works on growth projects with a view to expand APA’s asset portfolio across the east coast of Australia, and varies across gas transmission, renewable power, power generation and transmission, working within a great flexible working environment.
