Job Summary
Do you have on-the-ground linear infrastructure construction experience ideally in a power lines environment?

Powerlink Queensland is growing, we are planning and delivering a large number of major projects, including renewable energy developments, across Queensland.
We’re looking for your experience in transmission line construction to help us take on this challenge and build the energy grid of the future.
About the role
We currently have multiple career opportunities to provide advice, monitor and support the on-site construction delivery of our Transmission Lines projects working with our Construction Partners.
In these permanent roles you will quickly establish yourself as an on-site expert in providing construction advice, planning support and conduct inspections to support the successful planning, execution and construction of Powerlink Transmission Lines projects.
You will be the subject matter expert for technical construction guidance and the monitoring of transmission lines works. You will confirm quality assurance and ensure compliance with project delivery standards and the contract, for on-site construction activities.
About you
Ideally you have build your career as an Electrical Linesperson/ Construction Inspector with transmission line construction experience.
You will be able to:
- Communicate, influence and negotiate with project stakeholders, inspectors and contractors.
- Interpret drawings and technical specification related to the construction, ideally transmission lines, projects.
- Accurate Record keeping, and ideally used an integrated tool for operations applications (ITOA)
- Contract Management for construction contracts ideally using AS4000/2124.
- Work at heights
Qualifications:
- Ideally, Queensland Electrical Workers and contractors Board Certificate as an Electrical Linesperson, or similar Trade Qualifications and relevant experience.
- Ideally, conversant with SAHVEA and ESR
- Current Qld “C class” Drivers Licence (manual).
- Queensland General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) Blue Card.
- Ideally, Elevated Work Platform Operators licence
These project roles will be supporting regionally based construction site projects and will be required to frequently travel to and work on remote construction sites in regional Queensland.
