Amazon Web Services (AWS) Public Sector is looking for a Sales Leader who will manage a team of Territory Sales Representatives focused on Local Government, Not for Profit and other Government customers in Australia.
As a Territory Manager at AWS you will have the exciting opportunity to create new ways of working with Public Sector organisations and business partners to improve outcomes for citizens and realise business objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and foundational technical background with proven leadership ability. You should also be a self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit who is prepared to to work in a fast-paced environment, develop and execute against a territory coverage plan and deliver results.
This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth.
Key job responsibilities
- Working with partner, marketing, business development and technical teams to manage and grow the territory
- Leading a team portfolio managing a diverse range of customers leveraging business partners, marketing, industry experts and other subject matter experts
- Driving business growth and expansion in a defined territory working backwards from the customer industry and markets
- Developing and executing on a plan that leads to the creation and maintenance of a robust pipeline including opportunities in existing accounts as well as driving net new business with prospects
- Maintaining and developing relationship with key players in the ecosystem of each industry
- Analyzing metrics data and derive strategic plans to evolve your business plan
- When required, assisting AWS business partners on joint selling opportunities
- Developing a team of sales professionals
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
- 8-10yrs+ experience in a similar tech sales, quota carrying environment
- Previous leadership/people management experience
- Ability to work in collaboration with business partners
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Understanding of Information Technology landscape
- Understanding of cloud computing concepts
- Exposure to Public Sector and Not for Profit customers
