An opportunity exists for a dynamic, self-driven individual to join the Innovation Factory in the role of Innovation Product Development Manager. This position will be based at UTS-Boral Centre for Sustainable Building on the site of the UTS Tech Lab in Botany, Sydney.

Reporting to the National Technical Development Manager, the successful applicant will join a diverse and vibrant team working on the next generation of innovative solutions to sustainability problems facing Boral and our industry.

In this role you will be directly responsible for:

• Working with the broader business in hands-on project managing the implementation of Innovation projects such as the mineralised carbon product (CO2NCRETE) project.
• The development and running of the concrete program of work originating from the Innovation process (including management of lab staff).
• Organisation and supervision of field trials associated with innovation research projects.
• Coordinating internal and external visits to the UTS facility.
• Contributing to the broader innovation process streams (Ideation, Incubation, Development, Commercialisation) as required.

The nature of the role will mean day-to-day variability and opportunities will exist for involvement in industry groups and presentations where the business need arise.

Preferred attributes, skills and experience:

• Engineering or Science background.
• 3+ years Project and/or Operational management experience.
• Experience in commercial supply of concrete including internal and external stakeholder interaction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Possesses understanding of basic concepts of concrete mix design or has the ability to learn.
• Passionate about environmental sustainability and keen to be part of the solution.
• Dynamic self driven thinker able to handle shifting priorities.
