The Role
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on and safety-focused Groundsperson with practical line marking experience to join our Facilities Maintenance Team. This important role supports the safe, compliant and efficient maintenance of Adelaide Airport’s grounds, civil infrastructure and airside environments.
Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Team Leader – Land Management, you will play a key role in undertaking pavement and airfield line marking activities across airport roads, runways, taxiways, aprons and other operational areas. You will also carry out planned and reactive grounds and civil maintenance, including mowing, spraying, drainage, fencing and general landscaping activities.
This role is suited to someone with demonstrated experience undertaking line marking within a civil, road, industrial, sporting or similarly regulated environment. You will be confident preparing surfaces, operating line marking equipment and delivering accurate, high-quality work in accordance with required specifications and safety standards.
Experience operating grounds and civil maintenance machinery such as mowers, loaders, tractors, slashers and spray units will also be highly regarded. You will need to be comfortable working in a live aviation environment, including airside areas, where priorities may change due to weather and operational requirements.
You will be reliable, safety-conscious, a strong communicator and comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team. While the role is primarily worked Monday to Friday, flexibility to undertake occasional night works will be required to support runway and airfield line marking activities.
