About the role
The Reward team sits within the People & Culture (P&C) business unit and is responsible for leading the design and implementation of reward policies and processes at AGL, driving attraction, motivation and retention of AGL employees.
What you'll be doing:
This role provides analytical, operational and coordination support across AGL’s reward and performance portfolio. Working under the guidance of senior Reward team members, the role supports remuneration analysis and reporting, cyclical performance and remuneration processes, reward queries, system testing, and practical process improvement and automation activities to contribute to accurate, efficient and user-focused outcomes.
- Remuneration analysis and reporting
- Prepare and validate recurring and ad-hoc remuneration analysis, reports and data extracts, including for Executive Team and Board reporting, under the guidance and review of senior Reward team members
- Cyclical performance and remuneration processes
- Support the delivery of cyclical performance or remuneration processes and, under the guidance of senior Reward team members, take primary delivery responsibility for one major end-of-financial-year process, including maintaining the workplan, coordinating timelines and stakeholder inputs, completing assigned activities, monitoring progress and escalating risks or issues
- Process improvement, systems and automation
- Identify and suggest opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate reward and benefits processes, reporting and recurring administration
- Use Workday functionality and data, with guidance, to support improvements in workflow efficiency, data quality and user experience
- Reward advisory and operational support
- Act as the first line of Reward team support for queries escalated by P&C Support, providing direction using established guidance and referring complex, sensitive or policy-based matters to senior team members as appropriate
What we're looking for:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to maintain, reconcile and present data accurately
- Developing analytical and problem-solving skills, good attention to detail and a commitment to data quality
- Curiosity about how processes work and willingness to identify practical opportunities to simplify or automate routine activities
- Ability to follow established processes, document information clearly, support testing and implementation, and complete assigned actions to agreed timeframes
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and a practical, service-oriented approach
- Professional judgement and discretion when handling confidential employee and remuneration information
- Exposure to Workday, people reporting, workflow automation, employee benefits or equity administration is desirable but not essential
- Korn Ferry Hay job evaluation methodology training is desirable; training will be provided
