About the role
The Communications Manager is responsible for development, delivery and day to day execution of AGL’s enterprise wide, internal communication campaigns and messaging.
You will also play a key role in supporting employee communications for AGL’s operational business, the Energy Assets and Energy Markets and Development, as well as supporting corporate functions such as Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Property where required.
What you’ll be doing
Develop employee communications across Energy Markets & Development and Energy Assets, working closely with the Senior Manager, Communications.
Support integrated communication plans for other Business Units where required, including HSE, property, Customer Markets and Strategy, Sustainability and Enterprise Energy Solutions.
Support delivery of employee communication for key financial calendar events such as Half Year, Full Year and AGM.
Create communication materials for major company initiatives, including leader briefing kits, scripts, social content and internal articles.
Partner with Corporate Affairs teams to strengthen AGL’s reputation and enhance employee engagement.
Strategically plan communication programs with cross‑business alignment on timing and messaging.
Provide trusted communication advice to senior stakeholders and use EDM tools to distribute and measure content.
What you’ll bring
Proven experience in a communications role.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including simplifying complex issues under tight deadlines.
Experience collaborating across corporate affairs functions to achieve reputation outcomes.
Ability to operate confidently in ambiguous, complex and issues‑rich environments.
Confidence supporting senior stakeholders and navigating cross-functional relationships.
