About the role
A new opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Coordinator to join our Mine Maintenance team at the Loy Yang Mine. Reporting to the Mine Mechanical Superintendent, you will be responsible for delivering maintenance strategies and activities as prescribed by the Work Management System & Mine plans.
What you’ll be doing
- Make effective and timely decisions regarding scheduled work including resolution of issues
- Keep the Maintenance Superintendent up to date with issues and plant works
- Work with all stakeholders towards achieving 100% schedule compliance
- Manage 'break-in' work including schedules, permits and priority jobs
- Attend Maintenance Coordination meetings and communicate requirements for the following days
- Establish and retain a high level of awareness of "normal" operating parameters and general equipment condition
- Support Asset Owners, Engineering, Maintenance & Planning personnel with the management of plant integrity and performance issues
- Comply with all safety policies and guidelines, permit to work and Hazard ID systems
- Working closely with the 2 x 12 Shift Fitters to coordinate break down in field works
About You
This opportunity will suit someone who has a passion for managing projects and motivating others while showing a strong commitment to all aspect of safety.
What you’ll bring to the table
- Demonstrated working experience involving planning and scheduling of maintenance related work in a heavy industry setting
- Experienced in managing and executing work schedules and producing reports
- Experience with CMMS programs is highly regarded
- Experience with scheduling or project management software
- Generation and understanding of maintenance related KPI’s
- Mechanical Trade or equivalent qualifications are highly regarded
- Current driver's licence
