Job Description
The Position
You will be a member of the Reliability and Planning Team within the sites Maintenance Department. Reporting to the Reliability Superintendent you will execute the sites rotating equipment maintenance program in accordance with appropriate site standards and industry best practice.
The role will lead a small team of in-house lubrication technicians and external contracted Condition Monitoring technicians. You and your team will proactively look to maintain / improve equipment reliability whilst minimizing cost and process disruption.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of technicians undertaking lubrication and condition monitoring tasks to proactively maintain & improve the site’s assets.
Manage condition monitoring contractors undertaking vibration analysis and thermography tasks across the refinery aligned with Albemarle Contractor Guidelines.
Lead, motivate, develop, and assess the assigned team to achieve business objectives and grow capability.
Manage the execution of lubrication and condition monitoring tasks within the site’s CMMS systems (Lube IT and SAP).
Implement Albemarle Best Practice on Journey to excellence (J2E) rotating program.
Develop, monitor implementation, and revise plant rotating equipment maintenance strategies to ensure and enhance the integrity and reliability of rotating equipment.
Review Bad Actor list (rotating equipment), analyse the problems/issues and provide recommendations to ensure and enhance asset reliability.
Provide technical advice for operations and maintenance on condition of machines and repair methods (W/S and Field) to ensure and enhance rotating equipment integrity and reliability.
Provide shutdown / turnaround scope of work for rotating equipment to ensure and enhance availability and integrity of plant and equipment.
Plan, prepare and execute assigned S/D and T/A maintenance tasks (inspection / reporting) to ensure safe and reliable operation of the plant.
Reports to management on program compliance (KPIs) and improvement recommendations.
Ability to liaise with refinery stakeholders to coordinate rotating equipment integrity works that maintain production and minimizing maintenance cost.
Work Experience / Technical Skill Requirements
Extensive professional experience in chemical processing or similar process industry.
Demonstrable experience in incident investigation, Defect Elimination and Root Cause Analysis.
Experience with condition monitoring (failure analysis) and precision maintenance - lubrication processes and systems.
Strong supervisory experience, effective interpersonal & leadership skills are required.
Education / Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Post graduate Certificate on Asset Management / Reliability highly desirable.
Additional certificate on Vibration analysis is preferred.
