We have an incredible opportunity for a ChemicalEngineer Graduate who is due to graduate in 2023.
Commencing January 2024, the Albemarle Graduate Program provides an opportunity for graduates to excel in their chosen field while building significant professional experience, leadership capabilities and extensive technical knowledge with hands on experience in a world class Lithium processing plant and subsequent expansion project.
Over the two-year program, you will be offered unique opportunities to learn and excel in day-to-day comprehensive frameworks whilst connecting with and job shadowing from subject matter experts.
The Chemical Engineer Graduate will join the Process Technology team at our Kemerton (Bunbury) Lithium Plant and will report to the Process Technology Manager. In this hands-on role you will provide support as well as technical assistance and advice to the Production team and supporting synergy projects.
The Chemical Engineer Graduate will need to develop a detailed understanding of the engineering process and systems for the execution of a Lithium Processing Plan (Kemerton Expansion Project) as well as:
Performing a wide range of professional and administrative support activities
Focusing on ensuring technical compliance
Contributing to planning, develop KPI’s and reporting
Support in the application of corporate technical policies and standards, relevant directives and lessons earned are being considered at Kemerton.
Identify process hazards for subsequent corrections.
Support trouble shooting and basic investigation.
Problem solving, analysis and providing creative work solutions to various situations.
Maintaining and fostering collaborative effort with all departments that will work to ensure success in the role.
Ensure relevant equipment is operated and maintained according to the applicable standards and statutory compliance is adhered to.
About you
Completing final year of a Chemical Engineering degree /due to graduate 2023
Additional studies advantageous
Advanced IT proficiency and computer literacy
Demonstrated leadership experience through previous employment or extra-curricular activities whilst studying
Commitment to promoting safety, quality, and environmental compliance
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to demonstrate initiative with a desire for continuous learning
