Albemarle is the biggest producer of lithium in the world. Their new world class Lithium Hydroxide Processing Plant in Kemerton, near Bunbury in the South West of Western Australia, is the most modern plant globally and is set for major expansion.
Albemarle investment in Australia spans mining joint ventures and processing operations and are the supplier of choice for leading companies including the world’s biggest electric vehicle manufacturers and makers of batteries and electronics.
The Role
South West Personnel have proudly partnered with Albemarle to source Experienced Fixed Plant Operators to operate and control various areas of the Lithium Hydroxide Processing Equipment in a safe, responsible and efficient manner. Operating the fixed plant involves many different activities, including overseeing the control of the process, product sampling, operating large mobile equipment and monitoring operational equipment.
This is a residential role working a lifestyle friendly roster: 2D-2N-5O-2D-3N-4O-3D-2N-5O. Generous relocation packages are available to successful applicants from outside the region.
To be shortlisted you will:
- Possess a solid work history demonstrating relevant industrial experience in fixed plant Process Operating, chemical refining background, or similar highly desirable
- Demonstrate through your experience and values that you will always act in a way that enhances Albemarle safety culture and aligns with Core Values
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risk and follow safe procedures of work
- Hold advanced knowledge around Permit Isolation Systems and other WHS related processes
- Ideally have Commissioning experience
Plus have the willingness to:
- Undertake a pre-employment medical
- Comply with the site wide clean-shaven policy and thrive in a drug and smoke-free work environment
- Legal right to live and work in Australia
- Complete verification of employment history, hold a valid Driver’s Licence and be eligible for a ‘clean’ national police clearance
