Do you have a passion for helping people and ensuring their health & safety? Our Pinjarra Refinery is looking for a suitably qualified Emergency Services Officer (ESO) to join the team and make a difference within an inclusive work environment! This is a shift relief position, working 12 hr shift, offering work-life balance.
Working in a team of two Officers on shift, you will be responsible for on-site medical and emergency response co-ordination by providing medical services to employees requiring treatment for emergency and non-emergency incidents. You will co-ordinate and integrate with the site Emergency Response Team to ensure timely and effective response to incidents for the protection and wellbeing of all site personnel, company assets, and the environment. Site security access forms a part of this role.
Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Emergency Management applications for the Prevention, Preparedness, Response and Recovery of incidents and risks to site personnel, the Refinery, and the Business.
Medical Emergency response site wide for the treatment application of emergency and non-emergency medical conditions in accordance with approved clinical practice guidelines.
Site access control and security co-ordination, inclusive of all supporting systems, reporting, administration, and area access management.
Co-ordination of the Emergency Response Team to ensure readiness and availability for response prior to commencement of site high risk works.
Fire protection systems monitoring, response co-ordination and maintenance reporting.
Engagement with internal business units for the delivery, implementation, approval, and maintenance of emergency management and security services and systems.
Lead, advise, and train as required contract Emergency Services Officers.
Conduct AOD specimen collection for suspicion/cause/FFW or random testing
Skill specific training enabling improvement and maintenance for individual, team, and Emergency Response Team members.
About you
To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
Demonstrated industry experience as an Emergency Services Officer (or equivalent) is essential. Industry experience in similar fields of Health Care / First Aid will be considered.
HLT41120 Certificate IV in Health Care (or equivalent) with post course industry experience as a minimum is essential. Tertiary Qualifications in Paramedical Science or Nursing is desirable.
HLTPAT005 Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing is essential
RII30719 Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue (or equivalent) with post course industry experience as a minimum is desirable.
TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) is desirable.
A current national police clearance.
Western Australian C Class licence (unrestricted) as a minimum is essential. MR or HR class licenses are desirable.
Computer literacy and proficiency of use in Microsoft Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
