Our Global Capital Management team are on the lookout for a passionate and engaging Senior Project Manager to lead and drive the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of large brownfields projects.
In this leadership role reporting to our Major Projects & Construction Manager, you will be accountable for the timely, cost effective, technically sound, and safe design delivery ensuring quality outcomes are achieved in accordance with business and project requirements.
In addition to ensuring that the projects are completed on schedule, within budget and to agreed technical specifications, you will be focusing on and adding value by:
Supporting the business in options analysis and selecting the right solution that adequately defines problems and opportunities.
Ensuring compliance with WHS & Environmental legislation along with Alcoa values and performance expectations.
Improving project efficiencies and driving continuous improvement towards the reduction in capital intensity.
Conducting threats and opportunities assessment at the beginning of every phase of the project involving all appropriate stakeholders in the process.
Sharing your vision and setting clear goals, identifying priorities, and motivating the project team towards committing to project objectives.
About you
To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
A Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering specialising in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or related discipline.
Additional qualifications in Business or Project Management would be viewed favourably.
Broad experience within an operations/engineering and project management environment within a leadership capacity delivering complex program of projects.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders across various locations.
A strategic mindset with a forward-thinking approach to problem-solving.
