About the job

We are searching for our next front-line leader in the role of Filtration Supervisor, based in Residue at our Pinjarra Refinery! You will play an important part in the success of work execution and people engagement. The working roster is Monday through Friday, with the added flexibility of a leisure day every four-week period!

In this leadership role, you will contribute to and be responsible for:

  • Managing the daily production and maintenance activities of Filtration.

  • Coaching and mentoring our personnel to reach their full potential,

  • Developing and upholding high standards of process and production practices,

  • Guiding the team to achieve department goals and guiding the execution of work in all areas of the business,

  • Implementing and sustaining business system improvements, assisting team members to implement suggestion scheme ideas, and the auditing of standardised work practices.

As a link in the help chain to the team we want you to utilise your troubleshooting skills, and Alcoa tools and systems provided to assist with production and interpersonal issues.

About you

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:

  • A strong processing background and knowledge thereof,

  • Mechanical trade certificate, or relevant industry experience, highly regarded

  • A grounded and dedicated commitment to safety, health and the environment,

  • Validated use of initiative and self-motivation to excel working with minimal direction,

  • Highly developed team leadership, interpersonal skills and experience in implementing and leading change initiatives is required,

  • The commitment to meet challenges and work with a diverse group to develop and implement strategies across our workgroups.
