These enable us to considerably reduce our refinery emissions, working towards Alcoa’s value of sustainability, whilst supplying low cost energy to others across WA.

The productivities and efficiencies of our power stations are not solely due the technologies we employ but are reliant on the skills and knowledge of those that operate them. We are seeking experienced and proactive Power Station Controllers to join our crews. As well as recruiting for current permanent roles, we are sourcing star performers to fill our talent pool for future vacancies within all three refineries. Rosters include a flexible 9-day fortnight and a 12-hour continuous shift roster.

Our Power Station Controllers work in a supportive, flexible environment, operating across all three of our WA Powerhouses to support major overhauls, projects and business improvements. Joining them, you would be communicating across multi-disciplinary teams to meet the criticality of your tasks, making quality decisions to support business needs in a constantly evolving environment.

As a Power Station Controller, you have an outstanding ability to fault find on a range of steam, power, hydraulic and air driven equipment. Your proactive nature means you are continually working to ensure you are improving reliability and equipment readiness and you are passionate about passing on your knowledge of sophisticated mechanical and electrical concepts to those around you.
