Working at our Pinjarra Refinery, you will oversee our central workshop and stores operations supporting all sites across Western Australia providing an integral service to our operations.
In this role you will provide team support, motivation and development resources through effective planning and organisation and a modern leadership style to improve Workshop and Stores performance, cost effectiveness and reliability. The team have been recognised for their innovation and so continuing to encourage and build on this will be essential to your success.
This position requires a close working relationship with key maintenance supervisors and Tradespeople, equipment managers, area engineers and other technical personnel. You will need to be intimately familiar with the workshop and stores functionality and be able to undertake complex data gathering & analysis and develop long term strategic plans for the Workshop and Stores.
Key responsibilities include:
Improve Workshop and Stores performance with an emphasis on quantity & timeliness of output.
Provide team support, motivation and development to influence subordinate supervisors and/or high level professionals across workshop activities
Continue the process of changing the workshop and stores processes from reactive to a planned, predictive and preventative environment.
Achieve cost effective Workshop and Stores service delivery by maintaining services agreements so that service delivery targets are met in a timely manner.
Pursue a workplace that is safe and without risk to health, hygiene, and environment.
Determine strategic business direction and implement a plan to realise it.
Authorise maintenance expenditure within budget levels.
About you
To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
Significant leadership experience working in a workshop or maintenance role.
Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications.
An ability to seek out and deliver on new initiatives and ideas that drive performance for our operations.
Experience of working in a manufacturing or related environment would be highly desirable.
Ability to lead and develop others with experience in training, development, succession planning and achieving results through others.
Strong relationship building abilities where you have a track record of building successful internal and external partnerships with both customers and suppliers.
Strong commercial acumen.
